From the International Women’s Film Festival of Barcelona, and on the occasion of our thirtieth edition, we compile this program that arises from two essential cinematic works made by Catalan women during the 1970s: El campo para el hombre by Helena Lumbreras and Boy Meets Girl by Eugenia Balcells.

We trace a genealogy that links them with the first works of three of the most recognized female Catalan directors today, replacing the narrative of immaculate and uprooted novelty with another one full of connections, bonds and shared imaginaries.
