Rowdy Imaginaries

Building critical and responsible citizens from the media world

Rowdy Imaginaries is an audiovisual education project aimed at students from several Catalan schools. Its objective is to promote a critical and responsible thinking on civil rights, peace and culture and diversity.

The programming of the project is made up of films which relate to the Education for Development (SLs) themes: civil rights advocacy, sexual and gender diversityenvironmental consciousness, etc. These films will be followed up by a lecture and a debate – guided by an audiovisual educator and a representative from a civil rights organisation – that will focus on both local and global reading of the shown films’ themes.

This project is part of Acció>Cinema (Catalunya Film Festivals) in collaboration with the Catalan Agency of Cooperation and Development and the Culture Department of the Generalitat de Catalunya.
