Cinema and Creation
The MIFDB values mixing, defends eclecticism and has fun with bastardy. On our screens, television programmes, experimental films and net.art pieces coexist with more conventional documentary and fiction productions. The eccentric space often occupied by female/feminist audiovisual creation makes the MIFDB a border crosser, a centrifugal programmer. Through its open calls, MIFDB is also configured as a creative space that encourages creative mobilisation in diverse format.
The Minute Video
The Video of the Minute is a call for creativity. It invites us to take up our cameras and create meaning around a theme that is different every year. It is a do-it-yourself, non-professional proposal that embraces a relaxed and pleasurable creation. The works submitted will dialogue with each other in a common work.

Archipelago
Archipelago is an inventive, co-creative and collaborative project that revolves around the genealogies of women and dissident films.
It is a virtual cartography that invites filmmakers, students, critics and visual artists to pay homage to the filmmakers who inspire them, and is nourished by an annual call for creation.

Cortos en femenino is an exhibition of short films made by women in Spain, organised annually by TRAMA Coordinadora de Muestras y Festivales de cine, vídeo y multimedia realizados por mujeres del Estado español.
