Unruly Imaginaries is a proposal for a film programme for education centres. A programme of films related to the MIFDB and selected for their approach and commitment to human rights and global justice. The project aims to contribute to the knowledge of the unequal power relations between the North and the Global South, as well as the structural causes that generate inequalities and violations of human rights, and to promote a critical, committed and co-responsible citizenship in the defence of these rights, promoting the audiovisual as a tool and strategy for social transformation.
Feature films and short films are screened in education centres, accompanied by participatory debates on the issues raised, with the participation of members of institutions or organisations active in the defence of human rights and experts in audiovisual pedagogy.
To help teachers ensure continuity in the learning process, each session is accompanied by teaching and pedagogical materials containing information on the theoretical and contextual framework and suggested activities.
